2010 Yunlin County carbon reduction guidance plan

The promotion of low-carbon and energy-saving campaign was conducted from October 22, 2010 to April 21, 2011. During the time, we directed 21 low-carbon diet activities on campus, and 2,763 people signed the commitment to have a vegetarian diet once a week or a day. Moreover, we held a low-carbon diet Expo to encourage people to have low-carbon diet to protect the earth. We also held 3 low-carbon campaigns on campus and 646 people logged in our Internet Eco Life activity. All these campaigns urged people to take part in the low-carbon lifestyle to reduce the emission of carbon. We helped to maintain and renew the Eco Life websites for different units. By doing so, we intrigued people’s interest in low-carbon subject. In addition, we encouraged people to participate the Internet Eco Life activities by trading their water and electricity bills for small gifts and successfully received 5,343 logins. We conducted the media propaganda campaign on newspaper (6 times), Internet (26 times), radio (496 times) and TV (1,440 times). We put 11 outdoor electronic billboards to indicate the significant indexes involving the low-carbon subject. A massive propaganda signs were attached to 1,250 tableware, 1,250 plastics cups, 2,000 flashlights and 500 soy sauce boxes for the purpose of advertertising. Besides, we distrubuted 500 placards and 30 advertising banners to government departments and schools. All the activities accomplished above aimed to assist Yunlin County to fulfill the goal of low-carbon city
